Celebrations!

It still blows my mind that half of my mission has gone by. In this email I want to focus on the things I've learned from each companion and area.
My first area was Sweetwater and my companion was Sister Benfield. She taught me all the basics, everything I needed to know. But she really helped me to have faith and confidence in myself. She pushed me to step out of my comfort zone. I am grateful for that because I learned how to trust in Heavenly Father more.
My second companion, well in this transfer we were in trio, so we had Sister Rex. That transfer was filled with hard and good moments. I really learned about the importance of communication. How to talk with Love. How to serve others in little ways.
My third Companion was Sister Stephens. I loved Sister Stephens because she looks at things in a completely different perspective. She's really thorough about the people she taught. She thinks about everything! She has deep meaningful conversations. Some of my best  memories are of us at the end of the day talking about things that really mattered.
My second area was La Mesa, I trained Sister Calderon. I feel liked I learned how to be more obedient. Not that I wasn't obedient, but I learned how to love to be obedient. I really wanted to be a good example to her and help her, so as I tried to be better she was able to learn and grow and be better herself. I also learned from Sister Calderon how to relate more to people. She just had a way to automatically be best friends with them.
Then I was with Sister Milla for a transfer. Sister Milla is great, even though our time together was short I learned diligence. It's easy not to try your hardest, to slack off, but I learned the importance of working hard.
Now I am in Logan Height with Sister Martindale. Here is a little bio about her. She is from Utah, she wants to be a vet, and she is super sweet! She is learning Spanish, but she already knows it better than me! She has a love for the people, for the work, but especially for our Heavenly Father. She has such good insights. She knows how to relate to people and she knows how to teach according to their needs. I know I am going to learn a lot from her!
I am now in Logan, and we have church in an elementary school! It's pretty weird. The branch is a lot bigger than the last branch I was in. Funny thing is that my last area covered 4 different cities, it was pretty big, but it was hard to find spanish people. My current area is about 20 times smaller, i am not kidding, but there is more work, because about 80 percent of the population is spanish! It is pretty great. But it is a little scary.
This week was a week of celebrations! I hit my half way mark 9 months and I have pics to show! So it's a tradition when a sister hits 9 months to stuff our bellies to show 9 months "pregnant".
