STEPP

      President Schmitt (Our mission president) has told us that every time we have a meeting he will call on 3-4 missionaries to give a STEPP talk. We take 3 minutes to share a Scripture, our Testimony, an Experience, and Promise/Preach my Gospel on a certain topic. This month it's on Conversion. I started thinking about scriptures I could share, I couldn't think of any because I don't have too many scriptures memorized. I was looking through my scriptures and I found a scripture that I really liked. It talks about my purpose as a missionary and also conversion, which is perfect. It's in Omni 1:26:  

"And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him , and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved."

I bold that part because it is what we have to do to be converted, submit to the Lords will. It is hard, and Heavenly Father knows it is, that's why we have the Atonement. As we, everyday, commit ourselves to the Lord we will be blessed, we will be able to help others, and as the scripture promises us we will be saved. 
      This week has been really good for us. We've been trying really hard to teach people not lessons, praying to know what the people we teach need. We've added people to our teaching pool. One of our investigators, who doesn't want to be baptized, told us that he really likes church, and he actually prayed, took us about half an hour to get him to do it but he did it! 
      I constantly have to remind myself that this is all new to these people. They don't know about the scriptures, they don't know about our Heavenly Father's plan, they don't know about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I am so privileged to bring that to them.
